Year: 2007

Escorted by Transat Holidays with 3 nights at the Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica and 3 nights at the Royal Decameron Montego Bay
This trip included many resort inspections
-Sandals Negril
-Beaches Negril
-Sandals Royal Caribbean
-Couples Ocho Rios (now renovated and called Couples Tower Isle)
-Iberostar Rose Hall
-Superclubs Breezes Runaway Bay
-Starfish Trelawney
-Sunset Jamaica Grande

We did the ususal excursion to Dunn's River Falls in Ocho Rios as well as to the White Hall Plantation, but my favorite excursion was sunset at Rick's Cafe in Negril where we enjoyed great food, regae music, and watched the cliff divers.

The Gran Bahia Principe was just in stage 1 of a 3 stage process so it was a smaller resort then compared to now.  It was a beautiful resort.  We had the Club Golden rooms that Transat offers and the room was very well appointed.  The pool area was lovely and the food in all restaurants was very good.

The Royal Decameron Montego Bay was a little gem.  This is a very basic resort in the heart of Montego Bay.  The beach is small, the pool is small, there is only one buffet restaurant and only one a-la-carte restaurant.....but the staff are courteous, fun and lively.  Our room was clean and bright. The elevator was a little iffy but I would stay here again.
