Below are the entry requirements for the Dominican Republic. Please not these are fluid and can change with little notice.Please see above and note the “last updated” date. You will also find a link(s) at the bottom of the page with the most up-to-date information which we encourage you to review the week prior to travel. The following information applies to those with a Canadian passport and who are fully vaccinated. Most travelers from Canada with proof of full COVID-19 vaccination can enter Dominican Republic, but there are restrictions.

No visa required

Travelers are not required to present a vaccination certificate to enter the Dominican Republic.

Mandatory travel declaration form before arrival
Travelers are required to fill out an electronic entry form before arrival, which combines the Traveler’s Health Affidavit, Customs Declaration, and International Embarkation/Disembarkation forms. Once completed, it will provide a QR code that will be scanned by the authorities on arrival. The form must be completed individually by each traveler and travelers must complete the form a maximum of 72 hours before arrival in the Dominican Republic. When traveling as a family, it is not necessary for each traveler in the same family to fill out an individual form. DOMINICAN REPUBLIC EXIT REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory travel declaration form before exiting the Dominican Republic

Travelers are required to fill out an electronic entry form before departure, which combines the Traveler’s Health Affidavit, Customs Declaration, and International Embarkation/Disembarkation forms. The form must be completed individually by each traveler and, once completed, it will provide a QR code that will be scanned by the authorities before departure. The form must be completed individually by each traveler and travelers must complete the form a maximum of 72 hours before departure from the Dominican Republic. The form should be filled out before departure check in to avoid delay and possibility of denied boarding.
